The Department of Commerce, Vyasanagar Autonomous College came in to existence in the year 1967 with opening of Intermediate of Commerce (I. Com) and later bachelor degree program in Commerce (B.Com.) started in the year 1980. Since then, the department has reached at a new high and made it as one of the largest commerce departments of the state with more than 750 students from UG to PG. Adding to its rich history, P.G. program introduced in the year 2019.
The department has rich history of providing quality commerce education. To its glory, the department has produced good number of accounting professionals, leaders, great teachers, successful entrepreneurs, law professionals, able managers and administrators among others.

1. DR. ASHOK KUMAR SAHOO

Outstanding Qualities: Dr. Ashok Kumar Sahoo,is a distinguished scholar and one among the best products of this great department. To his credit, Dr. A.K. Sahoo has published many research papers in national and international journals. He has successfully organized national seminars and conferences. He has participated many national and international seminars and conferences.

2. MISS NIBEDITA SAHOO

Outstanding Qualities: Miss Nibedita Sahoo, is a young, sincere and dedicated teacher of the department. She is a good organizer and his contribution to the department is truly praiseworthy. Her command over the subject has made her a popular teacher in the department. For her leadership ability, Miss Sahoo has been playing vital role in smooth running of the department.

3. SRI TAPAJ KUMAR PATRA

Outstanding Qualities:Sri Tapaj Kumar Patra : is a SSB Qualified Lecturer sponsored by Department of Higher Education, Government of Odisha, He has completed online GST refresher course organized by Revenshaw University & completed Faculty Development Program on ‘Digital Transformation: Issue & Challenges ‘conducted by IBCS, SOA & completed online certificate course on ‘The New Age of HR Analytics’ organized by Utkal university. He is newly joined in this department as youngest Dynamic, Resourceful Faculty in Commerce. He is a Gold Medalist in B.Com from Ravenshaw University in the year 2018 and attended many international & national Seminar and workshops.

4. SRI SHASHIKANTA LENKA

Outstanding Qualities:Sri Shashikanta Lenka is a SSB Qualified Lecturer sponsored by Department of Higher Education, Government of Odisha; He has completed one week short term Professional Development Programmer on Implementation of NEP -2020 for Universities & College Teachers. He is newly joined in this department as Dynamic, Resourceful Lecturer in Commerce. He is a Silver Medalist of Odisha state Taekwondo Championship and Bronze Medalist in Open national Taekwondo championship & he attended many international & national Seminar and workshops.

5. MISS LIPSA PRIYADARSHINI NAIK
